Greetings boaters, long time lurker here.

So I was at the lake, tied up at the dock, stepped away for a spell, had no idea anything was wrong. At the end of the day as I loading the boat on the trailer, I see the damage. I tell you, if it wasnt for bad luck, I would have no luck at all. I know nothing about hull repair but I would like to know if the damage as seen in the picture is repairable. At the time of this posting, my boat shop is closed so I cant ask them. I will take it in during the week for an estimate.

Can anyone more learned opine on this ?

Oh, it can be fixed, if you are not familiar with working on glass, it might be best to have the shop repair it, first thing you are going to need to do is pull the rub rail and see how bad the damage is at the marriage line.

Thanks for the input. As this type of work is outside of my knowledge and skill, I will be taking it to a shop.

AND...of course they were nice enuf to leave their Name, address and phone number behind so you could contact them for insurance purpooses!!!:facepalm: Since it's fiberglass it can be fixed, just a matter of time and costs!!! Good Luck!!! Just don't understand some people. I sincerely hope that the person that did that to you, has some misfortune befall them that will pay them back for their misdeed. They surely deserve it.:mad-new:
