I got this boat 2+ years ago and never touched it till this year. I was researching the boat and found that it was built by the ensign boat company in Cottontown TN. So I called them and gave them my boat s# to see what they could tell me. Come to find out that it was the 1st boat they made out of that mold. I just thought that it was cool to know.

Not only cool to know, but if it is a desirable hull type, documenting that as the first out of the mold may increase its value. See if you can get something written from the manufacturer.

Well I went to the place that made my boat and it is the first boat made from that mold. Confermed by the owner of the company and just so happened to be the person that made the boat. I really dont think that it will drive the price up on the boat. But it was really nice to see the person that made it. His name is Ronnie. He has been working in fiberglass since the early 50's. He said the hull was a "modified V" I dont know what that means. there is a sad part to this tho. They no longer make boats. They havent made boats in several years. they now make fiberglass motorcycle trailers. I have seen a post on here about ensign boats being in alaska and I asked him about it. He told me that some guy bought several of his boats and took them to alaska to sell. I showed him the video of the motor running and he smiled and said "sounds like she is ready to go fishing"

I will post some picts of the boat in just a few. its not the most glamorus boat but it is mine and i love it.

I have caught alot of good fish out of similar boats- the fish don't know what kinda boat your in!
