Something new from MerCruiser

I just heard about this 100Hp 1.6L Vortec baby sterndrive today and started looking into it.
Check it out.

(I hope this isn't considered Spam. I don't work for MerCruiser. They're not in production yet either.)

That's not much horse power for todays boating enthusiast. I bet we'll see a lot of em in the pontoon boat industry.

What kinda outdrive is that? Almost looks like a 300+ Bravo outdrive... Very sleek.

I own a sterndrive but in south carolina on the beaches the outboards outnumber the sterndrives 10 to 1. Or maybe thats just Yamahas s 10 to 1

That is thier target market, the engine is tilted (remember the old slant sixes) so that the entire package will fit under the deck of a pontoon boat.

What kinda outdrive is that? Almost looks like a 300+ Bravo outdrive... Very sleek.

It is an all new upper, but it uses the alpha lower unit.

It is also self draining, just like an outboard.
