Hows this for one ..If I need a £15 mop I have to email my boss and ask for one (10 mins)
he has to fill out a form and email the chief officers assistant (20 mins) she has to present it for his approval and then send off the order to the company(20 mins ) I reckon the labour cost is £20 so that £15 mop cost £35 just cos they dont trust me .I get paid £26K pa and I am not trusted to order a mop!!

My boss originally gave me a $150 discretionary spending limit. Any part under $150, I could decide on myself. After a while he decided that I was asking for more money too often, so he raised it to $1000. He said that we lost way too much money in the approval process.

Sometimes, smart people can get promoted.
