Just a couple of points. As far as I know, all UPS's have battery. If they didn't they wouldn't be "uninterruptable". Surge supressors will protect to a certain degree against a voltage spike. They will do nothing for a voltage drop. UPS will.
If you continue to have problems and they try to blame it on the power, call the power distributor and ask if they have had voltage problems in your area. If not, tell CC or whoever is servicing the warranty, to put a recording voltmeter on the line for a while. If they refuse, nail 'em.
