You guys always say I typed faster than you did, well, now you get to catch up (for a while)! ;)
Yesterday my left index finger tried to be a cushion between the fork lift and a boat trailer.  Although both trailer and forklift were small, finger lost the battle, but still have finger.
Anyway. It takes me a tremendous amount of time to TYPE and post anything.
So for you guys that do this one finger typing all the time. Amazing, and thanks for your EXTRA effort in answering all the posts you do.

No,No,No,No .....No, Didn't loose the finger, just the nail, cracked bone and big cut, and only up to the first knuckle. Nothing major, just a minor injury. Just have to type one fingered now.

Ouch! Heal up quick.

I too pity the "hunt and peck" typists. My dad did me a real favor when I was about 15, and "Chat rooms" were just getting big. I started out typing that way. My dad (a newspaper publisher, and past type-setter, by trade), would see me typing that way, and say "If you aren't going to type properly, then don't type at all." Of course, he types about a billion words per min.

I'd get 1 warning, and 1 warning ONLY. Then the computer would be turned off.

Needless to say, I learned to type. I started working for him at the newspaper soon thereafter, and gained some decent typing skills over the next few years.

Get well soon, I'm still working on that old Volvo powered boat and I'm sure more questions are going to pop up. ;)

So Sorry to hear of your injury, but I'm so glad you didn't lose the finger, or any part of it. I feel your pain, when nailing cedar shake siding on my old house many yrs ago, using what appeared to be like spring steel serrated shingle nails, I hit my previously already badly injured thumb, a bit harder then usual, saw stars! and ran into the house, to put under cold water, then ice, I was doubled over in pain, and dizzy, like I was gonna pass out, I even began to get sick to my stomach, but finally it subsided, and kept me away from doing anymore hammering for the week. Get Well quick, as us one fingered wonders can't keep up!

Ouch, hope you didn't hurt the boat, er I mean your finger too bad. You will need to get one of those talk and it types programs... :D

All things considered, it could have been much worse and I am glad it's only a "minor" injury.

We want pictures!
