Sound reduction

Does anyone have experience on adding sound reduction foam or what ever it is called to reduce engine noise on a Mercruiser 140. It is not extremely loud , but I want it quiet as possible. <br />I tried a search on Iboat mega mall and nothing was found.<br />Is the noise reduction enough to justify the expense?<br />Thanks in advance.<br />Fitz.
