Really enjoying reading all the forums on this site....Everyone been great helping answering questions and allowing me to get my 1987 trophy back on the water. It seems there is a great wealth of knowledge and from a broad spectrum across the world. Im from southern California...san diego area. Curious if there is any other boaters from same region. (hope i didnt break any rules by asking this.lol.) thanks chris

I am about 100 miles north of you and our main offices are in Poway. Where do you boat? I was offshore out of Mission Bay three weeks ago, but I mostly boat on the Colorado. Welcome aboard!

I do 90% of all my boating in San Diego. I get out to the colorado here and there in the summer for some river fishin and some drinkin fun. Mission bay huh???? there are some really good wrecks to scuba dive right off mission bay in open ocean. they have a 300 foot battleship they sunk there back in 2000. But mission bay itself is kinda a mess in the summer...way to many boaters who have not a clue whats going on. I love it here in san diego. its a boaters paradise and fishin aint too bad either. thanks for the responses... just tryin to get to know everyone....

We simply launched at Dana Landing, spent zero time in the Bay. We were working kelp patties near the 182 . . . Dorado.

Yeah....patty hoppin is always a blast.Very cool you came across some dorado. I have about two more weeks to that the sea trials on my new boat. Hopin to catch the last part of the season...
