1998 Yamaha 2 stroke carbed vmax.
P150TLRW
I have spark no spark on all 3 starboard side
Cylinders. Numbers 1, 3 and 5 have no spark. All portside cylinders have spark. I tested it by leaving the plug in the boot and grounding it out against the Block. After idling a little bit the portside gets warm and the starboard side stays cold.
I've swapped plugs back and forth. Swapped all 6 ignition coils back and forth. No change.
Ive done an ohms test and checked the cranking voltage from the wires coming from the stator and the pulser coil. They all checked out good according to the cdi electronics book specs.
So i thought it must be the cdi. I ordered a used OEM cdi from eBay. And still have the same problem.
I'm at a loss now. I don't know what else it could be. I can't visually see any lose or corroded connections or anything. I tried unplugging censors to see if I got spark and still nothing on 1, 3 and 5.
