I have a 5.7 with a set of dart iron eagle s.s. heads. Dart specs have listed a autolite r13 which is a racing plug non res type. Can anyone give some advice of a plug that I can use other than this. Thanks

Re: spark plug advice

Ever thought about contacting World Products and ask them, they made the heads and should have a baseline recomendation to start from.

Dart site says "AR13". You must have dropped a letter.
NGK (w/disclaimer) has a cross to a racing plug R5674-6.
Data: Racing plug, 14mm, .460" reach, 5/8" hex, tapered seat, non-resistor, projected tip, removable terminal nut, V-power (v-grooved center electrode)

I use the projected tip NGK BPR6FS on my non-vortec engine.
Data: 14mm, .460" reach, 13/16" hex, tapered seat, resistor, projected tip

I would expect that a racing plug is a "cold" plug that works well in racing but not the right heat range for normal boating. I can't tell you the above will work, but might be a starting point for testing.

Check for exhaust manifold clearances. Even stock GM heads caan be very tight with stock or aftermarket manifolds. Not sure with Dart and sparkplug location. Might want to bench check before mounting everything.
