Spark plug gap

HI Y'ALL
Have a 1999 Evinrude 40hp 4 stroke. What is the correct plug gap. I have seen 030 -.035 Owners manual does not specify.

Shop manual says -----0.035 to 0.039"-----Or 1 mm for those who know metric.

Latest recommendation is NGK DCPR6E plugs gapped at 0.031"

BRP spark chart shows NGK DCPR6E plugs gapped at 0.031 like posted earlier....
