I was wondering what the spark plug number is in your 1966 33 hp evinrude.
I bought the motor with some in it, ran it and it ran perfectly. Then spring came and I went to an auto parts store, gave them my plug number, went home put them in, went to the lake and it wont go above half throttle. I guess they gave me the wrong plug number-guess thats what i deserve for not checking. I had this happen with a jet ski and it was because I had the wrong plugs in it. Put the right plugs in and it ran perfect.
I cant remember the original plug number so I was wondering if someone could help me out. I called the store with the numbers on the little flip down window on the hood of the motor, and they cross referenced them and they dont do any better.
I really dont think it is the motor, although I suppose that is a possibility....
