Spark plug question

Just tried out a spark plug test and the spark is about 3/8 distance does that mean I don't have to check points and the other ignition systems?

my personal opinion.....id be happy with 3/8 on an open air gap

For what make/model/year would a jumping a 3/8" gap NOT be adequate?

Chris, Point gap affects spark timing. It is therefore advisable to make sure it is set to spec. It sounds to me like the ign system is in good shape, other than that.
