The old motor I bought second hand came with QL77JC4 plugs. I have some L77JC4 plugs in my shop. Can I use them without harming the motor or performance? If so what would the gap be?
Thanks
jimpittman

The QL's are resistor plugs, otherwise the same heat range. Yes you can use them. I believe the gap is .030

No offense intended here. Those spark plugs if used on the solid state ignition models prior to 1973 would be set at .030. From 1973 up, including the 1976 model woulld be set at .040 .
