spark plugs.......HELP

I have a 98 Bayliner Capri with a Merc 3.0L I am new to boating and want to learn as much as I can.. How often do you change spark plugs and wires. I dont know when this was done or if it was but how long d they last for.

If you change them what kind do you use? Are some better then the others and where do I buy them at.. Thanks for your help

Howdy,


Get yourself an OEM Mercury manual. The plug type is in there. Napa will have them in what ever brand you like.

They last a good long time. In most pleasure boats they'll last for years.....

But it don't hurt to take a peek at 'em once a year,...
Sometimes findin' a Problem, before it IS 1 is pretty cool...
