I HAVE A 4.3L V6 MERC 175 SERIAL #OC791997, AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE BEST SPARK PLUGS ARE TO RUN IN THIS ENGINE, AND WHAT SOULD THEY BE GAPPED AT.<br />THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

repair manual states:<br /><br />AC plugs: MR43T<br />Champion: RV8C<br />Autolite: 144<br /><br />should be gapped at .035"<br /><br />As far as which plugs, I have no idea, I am leaning towards the NGKs, but you will need to find out which ones are a mathc for those<br /><br />Other info:<br /><br />Timing 8 degrees BTDC<br />Fuel Pressure: 3-7 psi<br />Oil Pressure @ 2000 rpm: 30-55psi<br />WOT: 4200-4600

We race IMCA modified cars and we've found AC plugs to be about the best for durability. That's all I run now is those or Autolites.

I assume its a later model with a pointless ignition system.
