Spark Plugs

I have a 1996 120hp Force. What plugs should i be using in that motor. Surface gap or the satndard plug. If i use the plugs i have to gap what should the gap be. Best brand and number. Thinking about the Champion L76V, but i dont know.

What does the owner's manual state? I would go with their suggestion. I mean after all they built their motor and should know...JMHO!

When Mercury started manufacturing Force engines they changed from Champion L20V to L76V surface gap plugs. You can use the NGK or Autolite equivalent.
