I have a 1996 Johnson 175 Oceanrunner. The manual specifies a QL82Yc plug, but the ones I pulled out were QL78YC. What's the difference and which one is correct.

Rplamb<br />The QL78YC plug is 2 heat ranges colder. Might be ok if you run wide open most of the time. It will tend to foul more at idel or trolling. I would go back to the standard plug, if you get a lot of electrode wear or pinging at high speed can always switch back.
