spark question??

Need some help.does 1986 merc.90hp engine fire at all cylinders when cranking?Im only grtting fire on 2 and 6 cranking.It wont start unless I spay starter fluid .After the engine starts it fires on all 6 cylinders could it be the stator how to check? what should I get on the test olms how many?

Start by disconnecting the kill wire black/yellow at the box, then the bios wire between the boxes heres the complete test from CDI

thanks for the info where did you get it?I don't understand why I would have to to replace the rectifer if I have spark while the yellow wires are disconected. what would that have to do with coils not fireing?I think this will help .Im haveing a problem understanding when to test for volts and everything else when cranking or running?Please forgive my ignorance
