I have a 1978 115HP Johnson.
The manual calls for L77J4 Champions.
Is this basicly the same plug as the L77JC4???
I was at Walmart the other day & they had a bunch of the L77JC4, but no L77J4.

Thanks

Same thing. They added the C when they went to copper plugs.

Re: Sparkplug Numbers Question?

The QL77JC4's will work also. The Q indicates a noise suppression sparkplug. I get them at Walmart too at only $1.87 each for either one.

Re: Sparkplug Numbers Question?

The advantage to running the (Q)L77JC4's over the L77J4 is that the (Q)L77JC4's are available and the L77J4's are not available.

The only disadvantage to the suppressor plug is that it's slightly more money.
