Re: Speaker Holes Question.
A couple of things here:
1.) taking of your walls is not only a waste of time, but you will not easily be able to get them on as well as the fact that most boat manufactures place thier securing screws in through the wood then vynil over them. you will end up getting all the screws out (after much swearing and cursing with a 90 degree drill bit) and discover that something is still screwed in and you cannot find it... that something will be the 3-4 anchor screws the factory put in to hold her in place while they vynil down the side. to truley remove the walls without redoing their vynil, you would have to pull the staples out of the vynil seems to get to the wall anchors.

2.)There are these things called razor blades, use them with the 6x9 template that comes with the speaker. remove the old speaker and tape the template over the old speaker hole. cut around the template with the razor blade tracing the lines. now your vynil is cut to spec, just drill a hole at one end then finish cutting with a jigsaw. Sorry to sound matter of fact, but I can't stand it when people tell people to remove the engine to change thier oil...

As for "Boom Boom" lake people, thats why boats have motors. If someone has a loud stereo and they are bothering me, I rooster tail em' on my leave or simply flex my 2000 watt system (just a smidge) but it usually puts those silly wakeboard tunes to shame. 6x9s will sound great, just make sure they are mylar based not paper to avoid rot.. (do they even make paper speakers anymore??)
