in the kit (which is non existent) you get a new brass piston with all the orings. The piston oring goes in the piston groove, then what looks like a Teflon band goes on top of the piston oring. This oring and Teflon band (slipper seal as what moose calls it?) is compressed tight together with the merc tool as it is being drawn into the tube with the bolt.The Teflon band is what is in contact with the tube wall as the piston slides and has to be perfect. Good luck using screwdrivers.
