Hello to all!I am looking for specs.for plugs/points for a 1966 35 hp 2cyl.
Chrysler(SeaKing-Monkey Wards)
It has Champion plugs # J8C. gap is at .33
The points are gapped.014 on one set,the other set is.017.Should both sets be the same gap?

You might try other outboard forum. I believe 1966 was west bend and not chrysler. It probably is the same as the chrysler and if so try using Champion L82C plugs gapped at 30 thou. and the points should be .020 thousands on all two cylinder models.

My after market manual covering 55-67 indicates J4J (J4C) at .030.for 66-67 Chrysler,And the West Bends.
My 1989 after market manual indicates L4C at .030.for 69 up Don't know how this compares to the L82C.

Merc site calls out L4J on 74 to about 80 35HP chryslers which crosses over to the L82C. On chryslers from 80 to 84 Merc site calls out L82C.
