spedo not working

on my Trophy the spedo not working , I checked all connections at the spedo at the helm and at the place where it attaches to the lower unit . The manual I have dosen't give any trouble shooting.<br /> Could the tube be clogged? <br /> Any thoughts on this?<br />thank you, <br /> LINK 2052

if the needle doesn't jump when you blow into it... take off the hose on tha back of the speedo, attacha shorter hose and blow thru that to see if the needle will jump, if it does not, then you need to replace the speedo as its probably too corroded inside (you can try taking it apart and spraying with WD40... but that didn't help me on mine)... or try blowing thru the speedo hose, and see if air comes out the other side... hopefully that narrows down the problem.

I had the same problem.I took the little rubber hose off the back of the speedometer gauge and blew it out with a little foot pump I keep on board for blowing up the kids tube.Worked great!
