I have 15'6" Bayliner with 85hp Force. Does anyone else have the same set up? If so what kind of speed do you get out of it (GPS)? I can get around 45 mph. 3 blade stainless 19 pitch with tilt and trim. I don't have a tach so I have never ran it wide open out of fear of scattering the engine.

That sounds about right, t.martin.

What rpm are you getting the 45mph at?

BTW, moving to Outboard non-repair.

Re: SPEED

t.Martin

I used to have an 87 16' Bayliner boat with the 85 horse also. With a 17' prop, it would get 43 mph within 100 rpm of the redline. With the 19 you're swinging, your 45 number seems about right.

It would behoove you to pick up a tach for that engine. Forces are notorious for building up carbon if they are lugged. It will be 40 bucks well spent :)

Nav
