speedo sensor for 115 yamaha

wheres the sensor for the speedo ?
though the boat was goin slower but im suspecting
that the speedo is off. today it stuck at 15 mph

any one else have a similar problem with there motor?

If it's on the motor, it's on the leading edge of the gearcase a few inches up from the nose, a tiny hole. Or you might have a plastic thingy hanging down off the transom called a Pitot. Pickups frequently clog with debris that has to be cleaned out. Removing the hose from the gauge and blowing backwards with compressed air usually clears them out. Sometimes you have to poke at the hole with a paperclip. In a worst case, a tiny drillbit may be needed to dig it out. Also check for kinks or pinches in the hose. It's about the size of large aquarium air hose and probably black.

thanks all clear was the smaller hole in the back of the gauge itself
