Re: speedo tubing
I just didn't want to wait for the tubing to come in if it was something i could easily pick up at the local napa or wherever.
As far as my dixie...i haven't had it in the water yet. I bought it as a project boat for $500 and it had a cracked block and head. So, i bought a new bare block and swapped out all my guts and the motor runs like a top now...out of the boat still. My stringers were toast man, i guess these boats have some water problems because the foam is all a little damp. The bottoms of the cup holders stay wet and the foam around the stringers is damp too. The floor is still solid, but i'll have to wait for them to go before i even think about ripping everything out and replacing all the foam and flooring. How is yours holding up?
Have you found a good site for any info on the dixie brand? There doesn't seem to be much out there about them, but i love their boats.
