I am the new owner of a 96 maxum with a 3.0 liter mercruiser. On our shakedown cruise I found that the speedo didn't work. I disconnected it at the connection on the outdrive. The pitot seems to be clogged from the notch in the foward part of the outdrive to this connection. Can someone tell me if I can stick wire or something down the tube to dislodge the obstruction? Is this part of the system plasitc or is it just the drive casing? Thanks
