The first time I had my boat out my speedometer worked. I just had it out the weekend before last and it wasn't working. I had done a tuneup between the two times I had taken it out and was wondering if that could have anything to do with it? or just coincidence? Just wondering what a good place to start looking was and if there was any way to check if it were working on the trailer? My dad thought it might work off of a vaccum...but I don't know how that would work. Thanks for your help guys

Re: Speedometer

Check for the Dipper Tab in the Back of the Boat, usually white Plastic that has a Tube Coming off of it going Inside the boat. Check to make sure the Dipper and Line are clear and Line is Not Pinched. It runs off water Pressure going into the Dipper hole

Re: Speedometer

Since you don't have an Alpha I Gen II drive, so it has nothing to do with your outdrive or engine. You probalby have a pitot tube like shown below. It may be kicked up, plugged up or the hose off it.

yep, normal. lub it a bit with yer favorite lub. then it'll kick even more often, but at least maybe not break off......
