Last year i replaced my speedometer on my 87' Larson DC-190 and at the time it was working just fine. It was working fine earlier this year up until i took her out a few weeks ago and noticed that it wasnt working. It lights up and all, its just not telling the speed. Can anyone give some insight of what it can be, electrical?????

Ayuh,... Generally, they're powered by water pressure through the pitot tube mounted at the transom,...

Start there,....

If you beach your boat a lot (like I do) the pilot tube at the bottom of the transom will flip up. Kind of like a rear view mirror does so it doesn't snap off. Make sure it is in the down position. If it is follow the tube from the pick up all the way to the dash looking for cracks and proper connection. Easy fix!
