Re: Spelling

I've noticed alot of them lately more then before.;)

I thought about cleaning up this phrase. Not only does it have spelling errors, it has despicable grammar on top of that.I think it's a basket case.

Re: Spelling

I can live with the spelling and grammatical errors in forum posts. I agree that many of the "younger" people make common mistakes (the "hooked on phonics" generation). What really rattles my cage, though, is when I see similar errors in newspapers and other print media. Those people are PAID to be factually accurate and grammatically correct. Our local "fish wrapper" seems to be staffed by sixth-grade dropouts.

Sorry for the rant.

Re: Spelling

I tried using the spell checker here long ago, and all it does is offer you "ieSpell" as a download for internet explorer? (the little ABC with a check mark over in the top right corner of the reply page) I already have a spell checker on my computer (for e-mail anyway), so I don't know how this is supposed to work here

I use IE7

Actually the spell checker I use is not the IE spell check anymore. A free spell checker comes built in when you down load the Google toolbar. It works great. After you type a new thread or a response to a thread you just click on the ABC with the checkmark icon and it allows you to spell check what you just typed!
