No . . . that is the zinc paint (darker color) that I sprayed on it before launching . . . most of it has come off.

Just ordered my oil change stuff.

11 quarts of oil for each engine + 2 quarts of gear oil.

@alldodge . . . my steering goes 4 turns lock-2-lock (30˚ pivot each way)

Yes, and I noticed that the oil change interval is 100 hours, probably because of the amount of oil. I've always though 50 hours was typical.

Everything seems to be 100 hours last I checked.

Typically the increased oil capacity is more to help with loading of the oil.... Most modern engines have larger sumps than I'm used to. My truck is 6 quarts. The GM LT V8s take about 9. Diesels are 5 gallons plus typically because of all the soot loading on the oil and allows for longer service life in the sump. I grew up with old crap so 5 quarts and a filter was normal.

Verado is 7.4 quarts

Electric steering much better than hydraulic. Down side can you steer if pump doesn't run, found out by accident I can it's just hard

My Cummings 6.7 is 3 gallon of full syn and change every 15K

In addition to the engine servicing and height adjustment, I plan on doing some finish work on the Extension Bracket that I did not have time for this past Spring. . .

• Epoxy coating on the internal areas,
• Some additional fiberglassing around the corner trim pieces
• Additional Fairing/smoothing/glossing of the exterior surfaces
• Some non-skid on the top surface of the E-B.

A couple of nice things that I picked up in this transition . . .

• Ignition Kill Lanyard (the original boat did not have one)
• Garboard Plug (the original boat did not have a plug . . . PITA for winter layup)

and you don't have to scrape the inevitable barnacles all over the transom bracket and outdrives lol. That all by itself saves a lot of time!
Oil qts, my old 1998 Jeep 4.0 takes about 6.5 qts and my 2007 Jeep 5.7 Hemi takes about 7.5 qts. Boat, only 4.5 for the 4.3.
