I have a running sport jet 90 in my boat. I recently bought another running donor engine and used the carbs from it which had recently been installed rather than cleaning the very dirty ones on my original motor.

The engine starts and idles but leaks fuel from all three carbs at the throat. Upon seeing this i pulled them and went through them again. Pulled the jets cleaned the vent tubes, check the float and needles and reinstalled.
Having same issue. I have read here that the vent Ts and tubes that connect the carbs may be blocked ( I'll admit that i didnt check them as the carbs and hoses appear new ).
I will try this and post the results.
One other question is which carb's bowl should connect to the choke circuit ? On the original engine the middle carb did. On the donor the bottom does.

I meant to say " choke / enricher circuit " in the original heading not " carb circuit".
Anyways I have just ordered a shop service manual.
What I would really like to see is how the carbs, flame arrester, choke / enricher , fuel lines, etc are supposed to be connected.
This is in case the guy I bought if off did it correctly in the first place. I copied what I saw.
Any suggestions or pictures would really help or perhaps advice for search terms to use to find images or descriptions of how the and enricher/ choke should all be connected. Thanks !

Caution-----This is an outboard motor installed as an inboard.-------There are different coast guard rules that apply in this case to fuel systems and carburetors.-------Make sure you get this correct.------Other option might be to have a parachute handy when fuel is leaking on this unit.
