Sport Jet 90 neutral adjust.

My 95 sport jet starts with the control in the neutral position but it is actually in drive. Could someone please tell me where the adjustment has to be made.

I have searched the forums and my manual but all I see is reverse gate adjustment.

This the adjustment for in drive and out of drive
( neautral ) not forwards and reverse.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered 100 times. My ignorance and search terms have not found me the answer.

All you have is a reverse gate, there is no neutral, you adjust it to balance the flow to try and make it even in both directions.

Couldn't have said it better! Neutral doesn't work to great in the older jet powered things
If the engine is running, the impeller is spinning...always.

Ah. Then that makes sense as reverse is almost completely without any thrust although the reverse gate activates. Meaning ( as you said ) I can adjust it some and keep it pretty much stationary. Thanks for the replies. It was driving me crazy !

Section 6 of the same manual has the shift adjustments. Neutral is more like almost neutral with the way a jet works.
