I am buying a salvaged 1999 Sportcraft Fishmaster 210 from an insurance company. The boat did not sink but has significant hull damage. In my process of inspection I weighed the boat. Abos rates the boat at 2500lbs dry. Nada rates it at 2200 lbs dry. The actual weight of my dry boat is #3600.
The foam is bone dry and there is no water in any compartments of the boat. My weight was determined after all add-ons were removed (engine, gas, batteries, etc). Sportcraft went out of business in 2003.
1. Does anyone have the actual specs for this model boat?
2. Could Abos and Nada both be wrong about their weight?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Sportcraft Fishmaster 210 weight

I have not taken core samples, but there is a section of foam exposed where the boat was damaged up against a dock. I can push a phillips screwdriver into this foam about 12 inches. When I remove it, it is bone dry.

I suppose core samples are the safest thing to try. I just got back from launching the boat to check the level of the waterline, and it definately has some issues. The waterline is 4 inches above the bottom paint and 5 inches over the scuppers. This boat has an outboard motor bracket on the transom which holds the 200 optimax and it is partially underwater when the boat is at rest.

I did contact the new Sportcraft people at the website you reference. They are now SeaStrike. They bought out Sportcraft in 2003 and do not have any information on boats made prior to their purchase.

Thanks for your response.
