Had her up and running for about 20 min. I played with carb adjustments and got it running at a good, slow idle, just not that nice, low, antique, magneto, pop pop pop idle, that I have seen videos of these engines doing. When I can get it to idle pretty low, she will run for about three minutes, give one lean sneeze and die. Move throttle back up a little and she fires first pull, but chokes a couple times till fuel gets back, then will run fine. I fattened up the low speed a little but, it starts running pretty rough when idled back down low. I'm stumped.

The carb was torn down and soaked in chem dip, blown out and assembled with new kit. I pulled Welch plug also when I did it.

No I haven't check it yet. I got a good thump thump when pulling through, so I knew it had enough to run. I can test it though, I know it's important. Will one low cylinder make it do this? I don't disagree with you, just don't understand the theory behind it. I respect all of your guys' expertise on these motors, great place to learn a lot.
