Any real-world first-hand review of the new SPOT Trace GPS tracking antitheft system launched last fall?

SPOT Trace Product

At 100$ + 100$/year, while it's not cheap, it can provide some peace of mind for valuable assets.

I'm particulary looking at ease of use, signal reception and battery life.

Never heard of the product before, but it looks like a Lo Jack type item. If you have a lot invested into you boat or whatever, it could be a great help in retrieving your item back. And you may even get an insurance break if they knew you had such an item installed too. Would help pay for the yearly cost...
