Bummer buddy, I'm a fireman/medic so thats a easy answer, we all say (I'm at work) use the RICE treatment, R-rest, I-ice, C-compession (ace bandage) and E-elevate, hope this helps, also try so asprin or somthing for the pain, I like aleeve better

What firehog said, if not since you're at home, try nursing a bottle of your favourite brew. ;)

I twisted mine when I went down on a patch of ice (trust me it was not planned....real sudden) about 2 weeks ago. I got it x-rayed and the Dr said RICE. The ace bandage compression worked great.

Vlad D Impeller, your cure will get the other one twisted, or something else.

Re: Sprained ankle?

Finally got location of workmans comp doctor yesterday! Glad I did the obvious, rest ice, elevate, cuz thats what I need and 2-3 weeks PT(45 min sessions). Theyy xrayed all fine, but i do have a ruptured tendon(not torn), ther one on inside of ankle bone, was swollen, doc says like all you guys said and wear boots, light duty stay off feet, worked from home 2 days and got LOTS done, came in today, just no crane climbing etc. Gotta be careful as well, is my right foot/ankle, left knee only has 50% range as whacked it years back, still 3 screws(2-3") in it. Gonna really rest up, it already is feeling better form RICE! Thanks guys!
