hello, I plan on cleaning my pontoons this week, I have a gal. of toon brite, I plan to use. I never did this before so it will be new to me. and would like to have your experiences and input. I plan on useing a pressurewasher to clean off the
toon-brite. will my toons be dull? and if so what is a good polish to shin them up. I dont have a buffer so I would like to do it the easyest way possible.
thanks in advance

Re: spring cleaning

Jack, if I remember correctly, toonbright is an acid based product. I had splotchy results on my 2005 Starcraft, but may have been my fault trying to do the outside full length on a 24' tube. Do it in small sections, maybe a third or quarter of the tube at a time. Rince well before continuing. Use rubber gloves & something for your eyes. Practice somewhere on the inside of a tube first to see how it comes out. I was in a rush and probably screwed myself. Good luck

P.S. The parts that came out right looked as new. Some Sharkshide applied afterwards will help keep it that way.
