spring cradle on axle

Hello,
I am putting new axles on a DHM trailer. The axles came with the spring cradles (I think that is what they are called) not attached. So I need to tack weld these into place before installation. Is there anything special that I need to be aware of when doing this? They are round, 4-inch drop axles.

Ayuh,.....

I'd assemble the Whole thing,+ Then throw some Weld on them........

After you've got it all Aligned........

is there a center hole in the spring pads that you should worry about?
The spring pack center bolt head usually sits in a hole in the spring pad.
Keeps things inline, make sure the hole fits the spring center bolt befor you weld it to axle.
