Spring is coming and I figured it was time to order the supplies I need for the boat projects I want to do.

Ordered the following:

1) Racor Fuel/water Filter.

2) Teleflex Water Pressure guage.

I plan to mount the Racor filter in the aft of the boat to help keep bouncing/shaking down so any water that separates out will not get stirred back in.

The water pressure guage will fill the last guage space available in the dash. Just extra protection against overheating.

Also picked up a kill switch and bilge pump yesterday. Looks like a have a few things to keep me busy when the weather warms up enought to work outside, but before its time to do yard work.

Re: Spring projects...

Still hammering away on the glassmaster. I pretty much finished all I can do with the parts I have in the basement (strip the outdrive, make new wire hardness etc...)

I just got a new job so my over night travel will reduce a WHOLE lot (from 80% + to ~15%) got time on hand now

Then again, diaper changing on my 9 day old daughter takes a lot of time! :) The upside is, I think what filled those first few diapers is stronger than resin. I will keep you posted on the results!!!

Re: Spring projects...

So far this spring I've recarpeted my trailor bunks and am in the process of getting both of my tail lights working. I have 2 coats of Rustoleum "sailor blue" on the exterior of my 14' tinny. Interior is to be painted next. After that I can install the deck that extends from the bow to the back of the first seat. Then come the seats. A new wise folding padded seat with an adjustable pedestal is waiting to be put up front and another seat of unknown origin (found on the side of highway - required numerous stiches & reshaping alumininum frame) is to be the helm seat. I can't wait to get it on the water again!

Oh yeah, MUCHOS GRASIAS to everyone who posts here at this wonderful font of knowledge known as iboats! I've learned so much in the past 9 months!

Hey Eggkr8!

Congrats on the new daughter! Good luck with the new job!

Ya know, you just seem to have one excuse after another for not working 24/7 on that boat....
:D :D :D

Go photos?

Re: Spring projects...

Is one of the worst things that can happen to finish a project?
I "almost" just hate not being able to think of anything else I'd like to do to "XXX" boat.
When I reach that point, it's time to abuse it somehow so I can fix some more...lol.

My spring projects will be to complete the unfinished winter projects. Working for a living sucks.

Hmmmm Eggkr8...maybe I should have held off on giving you that bottle of Dewer's 12 Year Reserve until after the boat was done .

Like fishingdan said...my spring projects are to finish the winter ones I started (finishing basement) and then my summer projects will be to do the spring projects that got bumped by the winter projects...this will be (but not limited to) redo stringers and floor in silverline, finish trim work/rear seat on Regal, and fix the pesky high RPM bog down issue on Regal.

Oh ya...and any "honey do's" my wife thinks of.

-JMW
