I repositioned the rowlocks on my Devlin ''Peeper''- and it rows like a dream.I set in a couple of PVC rodholders within reach of the center seat, and everything works beautifully. An hour trolling tiny Black ****Night spoons produced some very nice pan sized rainbows.I fish them right on the top, no weight, just a barrel swivel to keep the line from twisting and also provide just enough weight to keep it under the surface.I see guys dragging gangtrolls and the little black spoons outfish them handily- more fun, too!

the **** is the word what the computor automatically filters out.The spoon is a ''Richard'' Nite spoon.Maybe D**K NITE will work.But- they really work well, maybe the black imitates black ants, I don't know- small black flatfish work well too in the springtime.I just fish them right on the surface with no weight.

Re: spring trout

picked up another 4 rainbows in less than an hour- they are in the smoker as we speak.I've had realy good success with those tiny black spoons fished right on top.It was blowing so hard I could only have one rod out, too.
