Spun prop question

I've read about spun props quite a bit so I decided to put marks on both the inner and outer hubs. After using the boat for a day, I check the marks. They were no longer in the same relation to each other. The prop seemed to be just fine as it was running.
Is it possible that a prop can be kind of spun? It seems to me that when the rubber starts slipping, it would almost instantly disintegrate. I see no damage to the rubber. The prop looks normal and runs just fine.

BTW, I replaced it anyway.

Keep as a spare or bring it to a prop repair shop.

I went to a prop shop and was told they use a 50 ton press to press in new hubs, so it is possible it is starting to slip. Get it re-hubbed.

Yes it is starting to go. You're lucky that it didn't let go all at once so either get it repaired or do as chiefalen sez' and buy a new one and keep that as a spare.

A prop shop can test it also. If the test shows it's slipping, which it seems to be, they'll rehub it.

I really would not choose to keep it as a spare as is. Get it fixed, as a prop that is slipping can let go at any time.
