Re: sqeaky tower

You could try white grease. I think a better solution might be to tie the tower so that the bars don't move. a couple cinch straps or bungee cords might make a bigger difference.

Re: sqeaky tower

Your best bet would be to row the windows up and if that don't work there should be a knob or button to the right of the steering wheel that says volume turn it up and the squeaking will be gone. Lol. What kind of tower is it. U could try some spray white lithium grease but I doubt that u have much room to grease anything. Have u re tightened everything?

I would use Teflon tape, grease might make your bolts come out...

Cool have u talked to them about the squeak. Also are u sure it's not the trailer squeaking it just seems odd that it's quite on water but not on land. Have u got any pictures.

put a thin rubber bushing/gasket between the mating surfaces. When I had to remove my upper portion for storage this winter, I found all my bolts my had like 1/8th rubber gaskets on them.

Re: sqeaky tower

I cannot believe is squeeks on the trailer, but not on choppy water...makes me think it is the trailer itself, like Dusty said.

Mine wobbles a bit. The wife freaks out at times on big choppy days, especially when I have a board strapped on it. It will flex and sway and she thinks it will fall off (it won't!).

But I never hear any noise from it.

I will be on Lake Houston Sunday. Bring it out, I will apply intense pressures to it, utilizing my rope and my 200 lbs of body weight, and see if we can make it squeek!

Re: sqeaky tower

The more I think about it ,it's probably my trailer making all that racket......ain't my first brain fart..they just seem to come more often.oh how i love gettin old.I mentioned something about going to Lake Houston to my better half this weekend,so we'll see how the weather holds out and we 'll definetly look for you if were out there.Isn't the lake pretty low right now?

Lake is still 6-7 deep at the dock at Deussen Park. Only shallow place I am worried about is the river mouth up to Kingwood. We went out yesterday and it was glassy and AWESOME!!! 45 mph from one end to the other. Never hit the wake of another boat.

Re: sqeaky tower

I take all my tower bolts out at the beginning of the year and put Locktite on them, should keep them tight.
