Ok all transom wood is in...
Had to throw some paint on her because I don't want to paint around shiny stuff.

Belt sanded the deck to get rid of carpet glue..This seems like redwood sheets, from the smell, color and sawdust..

I see the pillow up there. Is the Admiral making you sleep in the SS.

Is your deck in good shape? Looks like it. The dash panel looks good to me, but it's not mine. :)

lol no not yet..The knees just can't take the abuse anymore..

The deck is 95%...save for the last section and under the splashwell, that was just a rotten mess that is going to be replaced.
Plan on coating the existing deck with Gluv-it then painting on top of that with a non slip additive.

Grab some knee pads @ the Big Box. Always on and won't be constantly moving the pillow for the comfy spot. Save the pillow "for just in case".

+2 on the spar.

Redwood would be a mighty expensive deck, maybe Douglas Fir?? If it is Redwood you should keep it el-natural no paint.

Re: SS 180 transom question

I was thinking gluv it since I have the rest of my can and think I have her sealed up for leaks.
There are a couple small areas that have some water damage.
Probably should just replace that sheet since it's a easy lay in.
But gluv it says it seals and strengthens wood so I'm kinda curious..
Ya know?
