Re: St. Augustine in May/June?!?

I don't think the photos will be allowed on iboats.

That is a good possibility but knowing me I would probably take them anyway. l am know at work for taking pics when people are unsuspecting, I get some good shots that way. :D

Re: St. Augustine in May/June?!?

Well...Mrs. Fireman431 just read the portion of the thread about the competition of who gets neked first. She says she has $100 on herself...

I don't see anything productive coming from this...

My wife is the only person I know that has actually gotten us kicked out of a strip club...in Vegas!!

Can anyone beat that?!?

Yeh, I was joking.....

You are a true gentleman, veritas honus. I can tell that by talking with you on the phone. I bet you are a wonderful husband and father to your children. It is my pleasure to call you my friend. :D

Joking when you told me it was happy hour, or joking when you asked me how I knew...:p

...Not a very good judge of character, are you, sasto???;)

Some good times ahead. Fair winds, calm seas, and clear skies be with us!!!... Clear heads... Maybe not so much:rolleyes:

Sasto has a real first name?!?

I haven't been 50 MPH in a boat since I sold my 21' offshore CC. Do you actually think I'm gonna give you a hard time?!? :)

However...we'll probably have to do this pretty early or else the kids will have to drive!!

Yes, his name is sasto!!!:D

Nah...;)

Only problem you may have with that is, when I put my older son in front of me and give him the wheel, he asks me to please slow it down if I get anywhere near WOT. Can you believe this from an 8 year old???:) Sometimes he acts so responsibly, I feel like I've robbed him of his childhood.

Re: St. Augustine in May/June?!?

My money is on VH's wife! They started in this thread with a "warning" that she wasn't much of a drinker...I'm ready to lay down a bet that before the weekend is over, you won't be able to drive a nail into her liver!!

Then again, obviously my wife will be there and she has a tendency to be a bit "outgoing"...may just send everyone running for the hills...

What happened to: "her liver will be jumping on to the dock and attacking birds"... My wife and I laughed harder than either of us had in years when we read that. That was a while ago, wasn't it?

I am still here and still planning on being there, with or without the boat, just depends on what happens tween now and then. I really hope to have the boat with me. In other words, yes I am keeping up with this, check post 180 and 178, I am still here and waiting for the time to get here. Can't wait to meet everyone.

Boat or no boat, looking forward to meeting you and your wife!!!

Re: St. Augustine in May/June?!?

Wish you could make it, Swabbie! If not, maybe we will be able to get together someday.

Nervous breakdown?...Won't be me! I have none left.
Hey Captain, thanks for the invite. Is it ok if I call you captain? I kind
of like it. :D

If the stars stay aligned just right I hope to meet up with you. At the
top of my "bucket list" is to go deep sea fishing and your my first choice
as captain. :)

As far as St. Augustine, if we pulled up in our 16' jon boat it might just
be a bigger hoot then page 9 of this thread.

You can call me anything you want, Swabbie. :)

If you ever want to go deep sea fishing...it better be with me!

I'm looking foreward to next Monday. I'm going over to the beach with an umbrella and the book you sent me. I really need it.

Would that be "Chicken Soup for the Weather Beaten Soul in All of Us"?

Holy Crap...isn't it June yet?:mad:

Going for another weekend trip. Supposed to be 90?. Trying to get a few more friends to raft up as well.

Hey, Sasto...what are the chances you getting that 50 footer over here by the weekend???

Re: St. Augustine in May/June?!?

Alright guys and gals,

I'm kinda gonna retract a statement and alter a decision I made a while back regarding this voyage. Earlier in this thread, I'd been talking about cutting back financially to be able to make it to this get together. Possibly the biggest, and most difficult sacrifice was to keep the boat landlocked, and make this get together this seasons maiden voyage. Well, my wife and I decided to sacrifice the sacrifice (at least once). Friday, April 15th is my older son's 8th birthday. We're going to take the boat out to Lake Seminole for a day, possibly two, on the water. The Magma Party Size Combo 2 Grill, which was part of my Christmas gift this past December, will finally make it's debut on the boat. My family loves my grilling, loves the boat, and loves it when we spend time together. These three things all together... Words may not be effective.

As some of you know, my wife has a Blog (it's in my signature). She does product reviews and givaways. One of the companies she does reviews for, is Bass Pro Shops. part of a write up she's doing for them, involves a 2 person tube, rope, and inflator which they've sent to us. My sons will be going tubing for the first time on Friday!!! My 3 year old is a little daredevil. They are going to have the time of their lives!!! They both love the boat immensely.

There will be pictures posted of course... I do not consider myself immune to, nor exempt from my own threats. (See New job, Constillation good/bad) in "Boat Topics" for clarification of this statement.;)

LOL, Yeh Fireman, my "chicken soup" to heal this overworked and overplayed body and soul of mine.

I have friends from my many trips to Michigan down here for the next few days. We have plans to tear up the village in a golf cart and take the Penn Yan for a river cruise and a Dinner. Have fun!

That poor son of yours having a birthday on tax day. He will probably grow up to become some kind of a beach bum, spending his days on the water and running around aimlessly. I know.......my birthday too! My late Mother and Grandmother were born on April the 15th too, and they were wonderful people. I hope he ends up more like them! :D

Have fun, my friend. We will sing Happy Birthday to him.

From your lips to God's ears, my Friend.;) May he grow up with the means to do it right!!!:D

That's awesome that you share your birthday with my older son!!!... and your late mother and grandmother... May they rest in peace. My mother and my late father both February 4th Birthdays. My favorite cousin shares my birthday, and his daughter shares my parents birthdays. I've always been kinda amused by these things. I'm not easily impressed, but very easily amused.:D

Thank you so very much; and same to you, my Friend. I'll let him know to listen for your song.:)
