1988 3.0, OMC Cobra. I'm changing the Impeller and thermostat and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to go with stainless steel bolts for the thermostat housing. Or should I stick with the originals. I was worried about corrosion, but if they react with the housing and get stuck then that's not good either.

If you're worried about corrosion, coat the threads with OMC gasket sealer or the Merc equivalent, or even marine grease. I use the OMC gasket sealer on any bolt in a wet or high corrosion area and it works great even in salt water.
