I was 3 yrs. old the last time they won the CUP. I'm 52 now.
I remember my dad taking us to games in the old stadium.

Wish he was here to see this..... Maybe he did.....

Great Job Blackhawks !!!!
I should have put a lot of money on them !!!! Picked them for the cup half way through the season, picked 6 games in the final and also a 1 goal game !!!
It would not have happened if I had put a dime on the outcome though !!

What a finish. Congrats to the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.

Before the playoffs started I thought they were still a year or 2 away, good thing I didn't put money on it. Also shows how much the game has changed in the last few years. Used to be you needed the veterans now with the speed game in play it's a young guys league. Either way, it's good stuff. Can't wait til training camp opens.

YES!! ...of course to Chicago, and congrats to the flyers for putting up a good fight.
I've always liked Chicago every since 'Bobby' hit town.
As for the Flyers...due to their 70's legacy....I've never been a fan.

I understand, but having grown up in Philly I see things differently.
I was 10 when Bernie Parent saved everything. Due to their 70's legacy I've alway been a fan

Now I have to pay off my debt to my brother in law in Chicago.

don't remember too much about win in 61.
Hadn't even turned 3 yet.
Lots of fireworks in the suburbs last night.
Pretty cool.
Parade tomorrow., may have to find excuse to get out of work.

What "burb" are you in? I was born in LaGrange. My brother still
lives there. I left when I was 18 to come down here to Carbondale
to go to SIU.

Now... if we could just get those Cubs off their butts.:redface:

The Flyers could have used Bernie Parent tonight!
2 soft goals really cost them, though they did get some big saves also.
