Star Flite "Fat-Fifty" -vs- Johnson Fat-Fifty?

Anyone know if the parts are interchangeable from a 1958 Johnson Fat-Fifty and an Evinrude Star Flite Fat-Fifty? and in your experienced opinion, which of the two were more reliable?

Evinrude and johnson motors of that era were identical other than the cowls.
