Holy smokes, what a totally awesome Islander you have there! Awesome!

I would really appreciate a review of your outboard bracket set up as I nearly went that route on my rig (still may, who knows).:D

reply for jasoutside- the out side motor bracket set up is one thing that is awesome it gives so much more room inside i had room 2 put to full black leather captains swivel chairs. but if you recall in my very first post i had said the bracket was not water tight. there are 3 compartments that connect together each one has a removable round cover on the top of the bracket. in rough water the bracket can fill up. i resolved that by installing an auto bilge pump in the center compartment. the only other option is to seal the screw off caps tight. i also found a couple inside shots and 1 of the motor bracket.

Wow, Jim that is one sweet boat. I am a huge fan! I bet you have to be frustrated with the other things that are giving you problems. The bilge pump in your bracket is a sweet solution but one you really should not have had to come up with my friend. I really like the idea of the bracket but $$$ sure puts a hamper on that idea for me.

Did you happen to contact Starcraft on these issues that you mention? I'd like to hear their what their response was.

Have a great one!!

Jim are you saying the inspection hatches are what is letting in the water?
If so I have heard this complaint from others with pods.
I will see if I can find out what the solution was from that problem.

Thanks for that picture of your seating. It's awesome! I just sent the pic to my friend who is going to be restoring a 21' Chieftain. I think we will definitely be trying to replicate that.

As you can see we've got pretty much a blank slate to begin with http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w200/ezmobee/Chris Boat/DSCF2296.jpg

That bracket is fantastic. Check out how much interior space is lost on the old 21' due to the slashwell http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w200/ezmobee/Chris Boat/DSCF2299.jpg

Any other interior pics would be appreciated. Really love that boat. Too bad about the issues and lack of manufacturer support. At least it's a real nice boat that's worth getting the bugs worked out of.

Yah EZ, when you first posted that photo up a while back I couldn't help but cringe at all that real estate lost by that splash well!

I am thinking that he is probably losing MORE space back there than what an IO doghouse would take, eh?? Yah, pretty sure he is.

I am thinking that you have probably already recommended that he change that rig over to an IO since it's so obvious.

Well jasoutside my friend! It just so happens i have the letters i sent and all the wonderful replies they sent in word doc. form if you want to see how they treat there customers after spending $ 45,000 on their product.
And yes it is the clean out covers that leak. So if you seal up water tight they would be a ***** to remove and that makes the clean out aspect redundant lol :) J
